(1) The ministry or department shall monitor and inspect the implementation of this Act or the rules, guidelines, procedures or standards made under this Act.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), for the purpose of protecting and enhancing the environment within their area, the provincial government or the local level may monitor and inspect the implementation of this Act or the rules, guidelines, procedures or standards made under this Act.
(3) Other arrangements related to monitoring and inspection to be done according to sub-section (1) or (2) shall be as prescribed.
